The Day: Summer Camp, Free Theater and St. Joseph’s College Baseball Ends Season

• Still looking for a children’s summer camp in Brooklyn? A new one in the nabe called Camp Fort Greene is taking applications right now. Campers will get to learn about science, art and more, as well as enjoy some time to unwind after a long year of school. Activities include music, theater, sports, gardening and also visits from business owners and other important members of the Fort Greene community – there to help teach campers about how the community works. • The St. Joseph’s College Brooklyn Bears season came to an end yesterday, when they were defeated for the second time at the United States Collegiate Athletic Association Small College World Series tournament. The loss, the second in as many days, follows the team’s first postseason win for the program versus Penn State University Greater Allegheny. Congratulations to the team and its seniors, Joe Mendez, Mike Cundari, Donny Pagano, Chris Vargas, Chris Pacifico and Simon Diaz, who helped the squad win 77 games of their four years – a school record for a senior class.
• The Irondale’s Ensemble Project’s teen ensemble, called Young Company, will offer free showings of its original work “From the Inside: Awake, Aware, Individual” tonight and tomorrow.
